FDP piles are full displacement bored piles, installed by rotation and crowd forces; they are installed without the noice and vibration.
The hollow stem displacement tool rotated and driven into the ground at a controlled rate of penetration to the specified terminal depth. During the withdrawal phase concrete is pumped under the constant pressure through a hollow stem of the drill string to fill the void formed in the ground. As soon as the drill string has been completely withdrawn from the bore, a reinforcment cage can be inserted into the  fresh concrete and driven to specified designed depth.

Following the development of high torque rotary heads and drilling rigs with extended masts and high crowd and extraction forces, the range of diameters and depths for FDP piles has increased significantly and it is possible to install FDP piles through a wide variety of soils, including clays, silts, peat, sands and sandy gravels. FDP piles can be installed through stiffer, non compactable soil layers and to socket them into rock.

Baltpile can drill FDP piles of folowing diameters 360 mm; 440 mm; 510 mm and 880 mm, length – up to 19.5 m.

  • Increase in shaft friction and point resistance due to displacement of the surrounding soil;
  • Reduced consumptions of concrete;
  • High daily production outputs;
  • High construction quality;
  • There is no vibration during their instalation;
  • Minimal amounts of drill soils.
